The Carbon Watts is Bern’s most premium helmet yet. Bringing technology from high-quality aerospace and performance equipment to Bern’s original visor helmet, the Watts, for a first-class safety and style experience. Carbon Fiber is a woven material which spreads any impact across a wider surface. This makes the Carbon Watts 8-10x stronger than usual ABS plastic helmets for added protection. Also, naturally lighter than ABS plastic, the carbon fiber shell is 11% lighter than the original Winter Watts. The Carbon Watts is carefully handmade through a 10-hour process and finished with high quality, scratch and sun-resistant UV gloss paint. Experience premium style and comfort with the Carbon Watts.

MIPS Brain Protection System
Rotational motion can cause brain injuries. The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10-15 mm in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact.

By no surprise, this helmet was as clean as expected. The helmet is extremely light weight, and feels like a very high quality helmet.
Love it, Jake! Awesome to hear you are enjoying the Carbon Watts Helmet. Stay Out There!
Light, tight, and right on!
It fits perfectly for me. My measured head size is 57.25cm and I nervously ordered a L/XL. It fits pretty snug with barely enough room for a thin fleece balaclava. And I can cram in a Neff beanie, but that makes it snugger than I like. It vents very well and is a bit cold below 20° while ripping down runs, but it’s low profile fits nicely under my coat hood to stay warmer. Should be nice on spring days. The light weight and venting made me interested in getting a summer liner and using it for biking also if I can figure out the right liner. Overall I’m stoked!

I've had a white Bern hard hat for about 15 years so I thought it was time to get a new one - the carbon watts is pretty sick. I have yet to see a single person on the mountain wearing one, so I love that it's unique. It's very light and compact, only had a few days with it so far but I love it. Don't buy if you're not a ShRe3D3r... carbon fiber is guaranteed to make you ski faster and jump higher. As for fit - I'm a 7 1/4 head size for fitted hats and it's pretty much a perfect fit, a tad on the small side. I bought the S/M (they don't/didn't have a medium when I bought, just the S/M). If you prefer a looser fit, go large, or if you are bigger than 7 1/4, definitely go large, generally it's on the small side. And the ear muffs do not come off, so this is not a spring skiing helmet.

Best Helmet Ever
Absolutely love the feel and fit of the helmet. Pairs extremely well with my Ltd Optics goggles. The boa adjustment gives me the freedom to wear a balaclava underneath on cold days and bare head on warmer days without having to compromise the fit. Just a few twists and its snug. Super lightweight and stylish. Great work team!
Hey Jessie, Thanks for the awesome review and pics! The Carbon Watts looks amazing on you. Love to hear you found the Ltd Optics Goggle comfortable with the brim. Stay Out There!
Great feel, great fit. Ear pads not removable.
In other Burn helmets, I am a size medium, so I ordered a S/M and it was too snug even at the loosest setting. Burn's customer service was awesome and changing for the correct size was a breeze. The L/LX looks and feels perfect. It is a super light helmet. My only complaint is that the ear pads are not removeable. I have always rode without ear pads, so the look and feel will take some getting used to. I'll leave another review with how it fits with Smith goggles after they ship to my house.
Hey Mckenna, Thank you for the sweet review! Happy we were able to get you the correct size. Enjoy! Stay Out There!
