Years ago when i started biking i had a bern brentwood and loved it. It was replaced with a big box store helmet that got worn less and less. Recently my wife asked if i didnt like my helmet why did not not just get a new one. After some looking i found the brentwood 2.0. I forgot how nice it was to have a helmet that has a good fit and stays put. The elastic rear is nice and i put in the non visored pad. While i wear it quite often i remind my wife It reinforces your skull, but won't replace your brain. Be smart out there.
The helmet is adjustable to fit perfectly and the visor is nice to keep the sun out of my eyes. Used for skating & bmx! Very pleased!
It's been great. We got it for our 4 year old who has an adult sized head. Haha. I feel so much safer with him wearing this than this old bike helmet!
I do not wear helmets. My husband wears a bern brentwood. Last Saturday I wanted to go for a ride but my bike had a flat. My husband said I could take his bike but to be very careful as his bike is quicker than mine and the brakes are very sensitive. I said careful like wear a helmet? And he proceeded to place his helmet on my head while saying yes. I headed off with the helmet on fully intending to remove it once i was away from home. Fortunately i never did. I got going pretty quick going down a slight grade and as i went to Slow i wiped out. My head hit the ground hard. My pride was bruised but i was ok. I am glade my husband owned a quality helmet and insisted i wear it.
I like the fit and style however, I thought the visor that came on the helmet was made to fold up and down. Mine will not.
