This light brings ~6.6 lumens, micro-USB rechargeable, lasts up to 10 hours, water resistance, and has three light settings (steady, flash, and pulse). Simply click in place and ride on. MIPS Brain Protection System
Rotational motion can cause brain injuries. The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10-15 mm in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact.

I have bought Bern before. My last helmet seemed almost indestructible; this, newer, more expensive model, not so. After only a few weeks the one part of the helmet that stood out to me, the rear light - that attracted me to buying it, fell away and disappeared. And what hurts is I knew this was going to happen. The moment I unboxed the helmet I foresaw it losing its weak attachment. Plastic, cheap feel, it was bound to happen. So now I have an expensive helmet with a hole in the back. Not cool.

I bought this helmet to replace a 13 year old Bern helmet that had taken 3ish decent impacts. When it showed up I was really shocked at how bulbous it looked both in the box and on my head but it is incredibly light weight, has a built in light and is easily adjusted. I went with the MIPS as a rider who enjoys his brain this made sense. Been has yet to let me down, I’m excited to continue to be part of the family.

I have had two of this helmet and both have the same issues. The adhesive for the visor is incredibly weak to the point that it barely holds on after a few wears. The clip for the light on the back barely holds the light secure and you are likely to lose the light pretty quickly. With my first Hudson, the adhesive only lasted about 3 months of regular use and the light had fallen off after 1.5 months max. The second Hudson, the adhesive barely lasted 1.5 months and the light maybe four. This should not be that much of an issue, but the visor adds padding to the inside of the helmet right at the forehead and it is incredibly uncomfortable without it. After the failure of both the adhesive and the light I emailed Bern about my displeasure and they sent me a replacement ( I think I paid for shipping? Or maybe I didn't?). Because the second was a free replacement, I haven't bothered emailing them. The customer experience was great, but the product does not hold up to the rigors of being worn for bike riding. The helmet sizing runs large so definitely measure your head. Normally I wear a large in hats, other helmets, etc. but I wear a medium Hudson.

This helmet looks and feels great. Fits perfectly using the adjusting feature. The removable brim is a fantastic idea. Not all days are sunny, so to be able to remove brim quickly and easily opens viewing area. The shell seems very well made. Hopefully I’ll never know if it provides superior protection, but I do feel that it will, and that gives me peace of mind.
