Bern was born to shake up the helmet industry. It all started in 2004 with 3 dudes working out of a barn in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The only thing guiding them was their motto, “change the style to change the market”.
Back before we started this whole thing, helmets weren’t cool. They didn’t look good, they didn’t fit right, and shoot…they didn’t actually do a whole lot. Bern was created out of a love for action sports and a necessity to give back to our roots in skate, bike, and snow. Our crew of passionate outdoor enthusiasts got tired of buying bulky, bubble headed lids for every sport, so we invented a line of all-season helmets to protect your skull without making it look huge.
