Got a little grom that always makes good choices and loves wearing a helmet!? No … no you don’t. And neither do we! That’s why we built the upgraded NINO 2.0—the kids lid that’s a lot lighter and more ventilated than our original NINO. This low-profile helmet delivers all the style, comfort and protection featured in our adult models … without requiring you to dip into that college fund you’ve been meaning to set up, right? That’s right mom and pop…a youth bike helmet they’ll actually want to wear because it doesn’t look or feel like 10-lb. bowling ball on their precious little domes. Engineered with lightweight, high impact-absorbing ZipMold+ technology and designed for a quick and easy fit (each time they inexplicably take it off for NO. DAMN. REASON), this mini-lid helps them avoid head injuries and you avoid headaches. Help your little shredder stay out of harm’s way and stay out there doing what they love.
Pick the model that best fits your style and customize your helmet with our range of seasonal upgrades.
The Quickmount Asteroid is a micro-USB rechargeable bike light. It is easily fastened to the two-hole mount located on the rear of the helmet’s shell.
Like it's name this system is EASY! A no fuss elastic system auto adjusts to the perfect fit everytime, just put it on and ride!

MIPS Brain Protection System
Rotational motion can cause brain injuries. The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10-15 mm in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact.

Love my shark helmet!
The Nino 2.0 Shark Helmet is one of our favorites! Thank you for choosing Bern. Stay Out There!
Great. But the metal dowels holding the straps fell off so easily.
Shipped fast. Looks sharp. Great dual use and value.
Hey Joseph, Thanks for leaving the Nino 2.0 a great review! We appreciate your support. Stay Out There!
This is our second kids Bern helmet. Solid overall design but major issue is lack of an adjustable rear retention device. Bern has a small piece of elastic as the only form of “adjustment”, it does not function well. Either a ratchet strap or Boa style device is a necessity. I had to attach a zip tie to pull the 2 rear wings together to snug it up. And yes this is the next size up from our last Bern our daughter outgrew. I won’t purchase another Bern if the issue is not addressed.
