MIPS Brain Protection System
Rotational motion can cause brain injuries. The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10-15 mm in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact.
Better than barehead
My husband and kids wear helmets when they ride. I usually ride by myself and dont feel a helmet is warranted. On my rare family rides my husband is always asking that i wear a helmet. I do skate on occasion and have considered a helmet for that. I decided that if i got a skate style helmet i could use it for both. I found the bern macon hard har and loved the softer foam and the look and style of the helmet. My husband was surprised it was not certified but it seems plenty safe and that is ok as i very rarely wear it on a bike (or skating). When i do wear it on the bike it feels great and is not bulky or hot. And best of all my husband is happy i have a helmet on.
