No more beanies under your lid, no more sacrificing protection for warmth, and no more crappy one dimensional helmets. Take full advantage of Bern’s all-season capability with the Watts 2.0 Winter Knit. Here’s how it works: switch out the top pads, click the ear cups into place, screw in the goggle clip, and you’re good to go for winter shredding. "Winter shredding" includes but is not limited to: skiing, snowboarding, fat biking, regular biking, sledding, competitive gelande quaffing, fishing for king crab on the Bearing Sea.
MIPS Brain Protection System
Rotational motion can cause brain injuries. The low friction layer allows a sliding movement of 10-15 mm in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact.

What's not to love?
I've only used this once for cycling and it was terrific. The inner liner is actually just hella comfy on its own and the ear muffs are a nice-to-have on those sharply cold windy days.
Thanks, Sheldon! Awesome to hear you're enjoying the Watts 2.0 Winter Knit. Stay Out There!
Warm noggin + multiple possible configurations
I recently picked up this kit in medium for my relatively new Watts 2.0. Installation is straight-forward and doesn’t affect the overall fit of the helmet. One note that I would mention is to retain the pad from the summer kit that mounts to the dial-adjust strap and install the ear-muffs over it. This helps keep the helmet fit nearly identical to the summer set-up. In order to install the cap liner, the crown and temple/forehead pads have to come out to make space and reveal the Velcro patches that hold it in. Ultimately, I don’t see any reason that you couldn’t mix and match some components of the summer and winter kits to customized your insulation/venting levels. I love the options that this presents. Another note: the earmuffs left my hearing unaffected, but my ears much warmer. Construction and materials are top-notch, which is no surprise coming from Bern. You won’t find me at the slopes too frequently, but this has made my winter urban cycling excursions much more comfortable!
Hey Luke, Thank you for the sweet review! Awesome to hear you found the Watts 2.0 Winter Knit warm, comfortable, and easy to install. Happy we can help keep you out there in the cold weather. Stay Out There!
Both kids have Bern helmets which we got for biking and skateboarding. We are so happy that we got winter inserts for skiing. Easy to put in, and work amazing! Much better and less expensive than having two helmets.
Love it Mark! Awesome you are taking advantage of the multisport Watts 2.0. Stay Out There!
